PM SHRI GPS Laxman Jhula

PM SHRI (PM Schools for Rising India) is a flagship initiative launched by the Government of India to transform existing schools into model schools showcasing the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in its true spirit. It is a centrally sponsored scheme aimed at developing more than 14,500 schools across India that are managed by the Central Government, State/UT Governments, and local bodies, including Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS). These schools will be developed as green, inclusive, and technologically enabled learning spaces, offering high-quality education to all children regardless of their background.

Focus on foundational literacy and numeracy with strong academic outcomes
Integration of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and digital literacy
Emphasis on holistic development—physical, emotional, intellectual, and ethical
Use of modern pedagogies, including experiential and activity-based learning
Schools will be environment-friendly, incorporating practices like solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and waste management
